A fabulous fourth: The 103rd annual Lawncrest July 4th Celebration took place last week, with Philadelphia Protestant Home officials serving as grand marshals of the kickoff parade. The rest of the day included an American flag-raising ceremony, flea market, food court, antique car show, moonbounces, live music, a disc jockey, bingo, a magic show and fireworks. Among those in attendance were City Council members Al Taubenberger and Cherelle Parker, state Sen. Tina Tartaglione, state Reps. Jared Solomon and Isabella Fitzgerald and legislative candidate Joe Hohenstein.
